Moxibustion, also know as moxa, is a traditional therapy used in Eastern medicine to warm points or areas of the body. Moxa is made from the herb artemisia (called Ai Ye in Chinese). The artemisia is made into many different forms, from tiny cones the size of a sesame seed to large sticks the size of cigars which are burned to create warmth and stimulate the body. Moxa is commonly used for pain, fertility, and circulatory disorders.
