Why Our IVF Support Is So Effective
We Focus on the Root Cause
Your body already knows how to conceive and give birth to a healthy baby, and by addressing the root cause of your infertility, we ensure your body’s best response to IVF treatment. We begin our process with an in-depth health history and diagnostic process to find the key areas that need support and create a customized treatment plan to address those areas head-on.
Our Holistic Tools Give You Back Control
There is actually a lot you can do to improve chances of a successful IVF cycle. Acupuncture alone doubles the number of successful pregnancies for women undergoing IVF (see the study)(read the article). Other small shifts we will recommend will also maximize your chances of conceiving.
We See You, Not Just the Numbers
Many doctors are trained to look at fertility treatment in terms of numbers and statistics, but this does not take your lifestyle or any other number of factors into consideration. The more productive approach is to follow our recommendations for herbs, supplements, guided meditations, and lifestyle changes to make sure you’re maximizing your chance of conceiving a healthy baby with IVF.

Common Questions
How does acupuncture help during IVF?
Acupuncture has numerous effects that make IVF more successful. It increases blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, relaxes the uterus to help the embryo implant successfully, regulates hormone levels, and reduces stress and anxiety (see the study).
How often do I need to come to best support my IVF cycle?
Ideally, we will see you once per week and continue until 12 weeks of pregnancy. At key points in the cycle, such as egg retrieval and embryo transfer, we may schedule an extra appointment or two.
My IVF cycle will start soon or has already started. Is it too late to get the benefits of treatment at this point?
There is no point at which it is too late to start. Every single session has benefits to your body and stress level, which will improve your chances of a successful IVF cycle.
Will any of your treatments interfere with the medications my doctor prescribes?
We work very hard to ensure that our treatments enhance the medications your doctor prescribes. Everything we recommend works with your doctor’s fertility treatment to increase your chances of success. Many of our clients find that their sessions with us help to make the whole IVF process easier, less uncomfortable, and less stressful.
Does acupuncture hurt?
No. The needles are extremely thin making the sensation associated with acupuncture painless.
Is it safe?
Acupuncture has been used safely for centuries, and is extremely safe, especially in the hands of an experienced practitioner.
Do I have to spend a lot of time coming in and keep coming in forever?
Most clients are able to get the full benefit of treatment with hourly session once per week. We always keep our treatment plans as simple as possible without sacrificing effectiveness. We recommend that clients continue with regular treatment just until their condition has stabilized, not longer.
Audrey and Charlie’s IVF Journey

When I first met Audrey and Charlie, they had been trying to conceive their first child for over 4 years. When it became clear after a year that a pregnancy wasn’t going to be as easy to achieve as they’d hoped, they began looking for answers. Not long after, Charlie was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and went through 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy. Luckily, Charlie was declared cancer-free at the end of his chemotherapy treatment, but the side-effects on his fertility were devastating. Charlie’s treatment wiped out his sperm counts and left him feeling fatigued and anxious. Read more…

How to Schedule Acupuncture Sessions During IVF

Acupuncture is a very effective supporting treatment for women undergoing IVF (in vitro fertilization), making the process more comfortable, less stressful, and increasing odds for success. Some studies show more than double the chances of conception for couples utilizing acupuncture alongside IVF. Acupuncture should be scheduled carefully to have the best chance of success. In Eastern medicine, each person is treated individually, so recommendations may vary depending on your health and history. Read more…
